For over 183 years, Bartlettyarns has provided wool lovers everywhere with an unmatched dedication to producing the very best wool yarns. Since 1821, Bartlettyarns has been spinning fine, pure wool yarns in their historic mill in the village of Harmony located in the state of Maine. Much of their wool comes from individual sheep growers who deliver their fleece each spring in trade for knitting yarn or cash. They spin their yarn on a spinning mule, a marvelous machine that is one of the last of its kind still operating in the country. Mule-spun yarn retains the softness of the natural wool fibers, and has a homespun appearance and durability that is highly valued by knitters. Homespun is offered in 1 pound cones, 1750 yards, perfect for machine knitters.
