Dancing Leaf Farm is a small sheep farm located in the foothills of Sugarloaf Mountain in rural Maryland. Owned and operated by Dalis Davidson who Shepard’s “A’ spinner’s' flock” consisting of Coopworth, Border Leicester, Romney, Cotswold and Jacob who graze the nearby fields while she spins and dyes in her studio. Dancing Leaf Farm features its own line of hand painted yarns, vibrantly dyed in a rainbow of hues and perfect for the any season. Dalis gets her inspiration for Dancing Leaf’s vibrant line of colorways from her immediate surroundings and through her travels afar. An idea may be as simple as the butterflies that grace the flowers in her perennial garden to a mountain scene in Alaska or as complex as the variegated shades seen in an ocean beach off the coast of Australia.
