Margaret Stove has a long established reputation as a leading exponent of superfine lace, this evolved out of her desire to express herself as an artist using the medium of lace that is knitted. She is fortunate in having had the opportunity through guild affiliations, class participation, research, teaching and writing to share these interests with fellow spinners and knitters all over the world. Each sharing of knowledge benefits not only what she can offer future classes but also her own work, and ultimately benefits us, the knitters. Examples of her work are found in many galleries and private collections throughout the world. Using only New Zealand’s finest merino wools, than hand spinning and hand dying the best of the best, she created Artisan Lace.
